Cursor

Status: Candidate setup, not yet verified by NexoRouter.

Cursor can use custom OpenAI-compatible endpoints only when the installed version and plan expose an override for the OpenAI base URL. If your Cursor settings do not include a base URL field, use Cline, Roo Code, OpenCode, Continue, or Aider instead.

Required values

Provider: OpenAI / OpenAI-compatible custom endpoint
Base URL: https://api.nexorouter.com/v1
API key: YOUR_NEXOROUTER_API_KEY
Model: deepseek-v4-flash

Setup path

  1. Open Cursor settings.
  2. Find the model provider or API key section.
  3. Enable custom OpenAI-compatible endpoint if your version supports it.
  4. Paste https://api.nexorouter.com/v1 as the base URL.
  5. Paste a low-budget NexoRouter API key.
  6. Add one exact model ID copied from Models.
  7. Send a read-only prompt before allowing edits.

First test

Summarize the current file in five bullet points. Do not edit files.

Verify

Open Usage Logs and confirm the request shows the Cursor test key, expected model, tokens, status, latency, and request ID.

Known limits

  • Cursor UI and model-provider settings change frequently.
  • Some Cursor workflows may route to Cursor-managed models and ignore custom endpoint settings.
  • Agent edits, tool use, and long context workflows need separate verification.
